I have been meaning to start a blog for my school projects for ages! I love to share ideas & I think my facebook friends might be getting annoyed with my school project picture posts! So I needed a new outlet to connect with other teachers who might enjoy seeing my posts!

Last week in kindergarten we started on our geology unit! We investigated soil, sand, & rocks. 

We started off using our hand lenses to explore our rock using our sense of sight. 

We wrote about our rock using our five senses, except taste! Rocks are not good for tasting!

 Of course, we had our hard hats, head lamps, and goggles! Safety first in geology! We watched a video that explained to the tiny scientists that geologist wear hard hats when at work, just in case a rock falls on them!

 Each scientist brought a rock from home to explore in our lab :)
