Help your students LOVE Non-Fiction Texts & a {GIVEAWAY}

I'm so excited for my IRL friend Cole's new blog, Teach Glitter Grow! She designed it by herself, which I just love! Be sure to click her banner & check it out! One lucky winner will recieve over $100 in TPT products, gift cards, & other goodies just in time for back to school!

Teach Glitter Grow

To celebrate with Cole, I donated one of my most used products {in my own classroom}, my non fiction text features cards. Each year I find that my students struggle to pick up on these features as they read. I use these cards to introduce the features on an anchor chart! I just print them black & white and glue them on! We label them as a class as we find them in our read aloud!

Later in the year, I use them at my pocket chart center as a matching game & also during guided reading for my students who are still struggling to identify the NF features as they read.

The pictures on the cards are of first grade leveled texts so that my students can use the text in the picture to help them identify the feature & find its match. The set includes a picture card & matching vocabulary card for page #, glossary, title, author, photograph, words, caption, header, diagram, table of contents, & index!
